Ah 2021,

This was the year I decided I might be something of a “filmmaker”. This was, of course, very different than somebody who just makes “videos”, oh no, I was something better. Perhaps the only perceivable permutation is the pronounced pretentiousness. Anyways, here’s my “first” short film, PEST, and a few other goofy videos such as a parody of a “Book Club”, a normal music video, a taco advertisement horror bait n switch, and an animation of a snail!

A very diverse catalog for this year, bon appetit!

PEST (2021)

A pest exterminator comes face to face with a violent animal rights activist, and his own morality.

I would say this is my first “short film”. If you’d like to read the little bonus page I wrote when I released it, it is linked here!

While we’re here though, this was also my first collaboration with musician Owen Page, who I have to thank for much of the vibes of my movies. Please stream his music.

TACOS Inc. Ad

Both of the above videos were based on the good ol’ horror bait n’ switch concept. One starts as a bizarre book reading (of a book you can buy here) that turns into animal abuse, and the other is based on a demonic Taco muncher (eating the whitest tacos ever made). In both videos, the monster has my face, but I’ll let you be the judge of which is more disturbing.

Boogie Oogie Oogie Music Video

“In the Big Time Party World, (BTPW) with Boogie Oogie Oogie as his Soul’s guide, Main must convince NoDanc to dance.”

A music video! Imagine that. This was made as my semester final for Drama, and I had quite a bit of fun making it.

Song is Boogie Oogie Oogie by Taste of Honey, starring Tenzing Rangel as Main, Kailey Robare as NoDanc, and many more members of my family who contributed videos of them dancing.

Here is my snailmation.
Spent maybe 2 weeks max working on this, animaton was 10 fps, made in Pencil2D, sound edited in Filmora.

I really don’t have much behind the scenes content for this one, but here is a black and white version of one of the shots!
